Shelter Rock has entered into an arrangement with OCS to obtain the benefits of The Nelson Group, which is focused on high-net-worth (“HNW”) and family office partners. The members of The Nelson Group have worked together since 2020 to offer specialized capital formation and advisory services, particularly for managers seeking to access capital from HNW and family office channels. During their extensive capital raising careers, The Nelson Group’s professionals have fostered a substantial number of investor relationships within the HNW, family office and RIA space. This Group extends the universe of LP relationships that can be provided to Shelter Rock’s clients.

Shelter Rock firmly believes that thoughtful preparation is a pre-requisite to a successful capital raise.
Shelter Rock accepts only a small number of new clients each year. Before commencing a mandate, Shelter Rock conducts thorough diligence on each manager asking many of the questions that investors will ask during their due diligence, often including analysis of historical track records, background checks on key principals, evaluation of structure and alignment of interests, amongst other criteria. Importantly, Shelter Rock seeks clients that are committed to being exceptional fiduciaries to their investors.
